Pilgrimages to the Santa Croce Shrine

The shrine of Santa Croce (shrine history: Download) is the annual destination for many pilgrimages involving mostly local people. Some processions begin in neighboring villages, while others take place near the little church where mass is celebrated. On September 13, 2000, a procession from Badia came to the shrine to commemorate the Great Jubilee for Holy Year 2000. Several thousand people attended the commemorative mass.
