Tour de Sas

Each year in February, the recreational sports association Uniun Badia Sport organizes the now famous alpine ski touring race for individuals: the Tour de Sas. It’s a competition with classic gear and a mass start.

Participants in the competition begin at Santa Croce, immediately past "Ju de Sant'Antone" at 2563 m, descending to Fanes (2034 m), then up towards the Medesc Valley reaching the maximum altitude of 2774 m, and then descending again towards Santa Croce and reaching the final destination of Badia village at 1370 m.

The Tour de Sas is a very demanding race aimed at alpine ski touring enthusiasts. The trail offers breathtaking views throughout the heart of the Dolomites, newly listed in 2010 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
