Let Summer Begin!

Let Summer Begin!

Spring temperatures, nature blossoming in all her majesty, many animals awaking from hibernation: It must be springtime again! In La Crusc, summer is just around the corner.

Enough with winter. Due to warm temperatures in the month of March, we’re bidding farewell to the ski season in La Crusc, although guests can still enjoy spring skiing with our neighbours in Alta Badia until 2 April. As for us, however, we’re already hard at work preparing for the summer season. And while winter was great, we say bring on spring weather!

With the exception of January, which was very cold, mild temperatures prevailed this season. Many visitors made use of our wonderfully compact area to ski, snowboard, head for a winter hike amidst the breathtaking scenery of two UNESCO World Heritage sites, go fatbiking, or visit one of many diverse events.

An Exciting Summer Season

From now on, summer is officially the focus! Our lifts will open once more on 17 June and the season will now remain open until 1 October 2017. During this time, you can get to know the Ladin way of life in our traditional huts, enjoy superlative culinary delights and take advantage of activities like mountain biking, free climbing, and hiking in the surrounding area. Enjoy nature in all its mighty grandeur!

We are currently working hard on our new summer park, which is set to open in June. The park facility will be an adventure land for the entire family and there will be numerous exciting and informative stations to discover. Try your hand at gold washing and come with us to a real “dragon’s cave”, test your marksmanship, or witness the courting of marmots in the wild as they fight for mates.

Numerous other events are also planned. “An explosion of colours” will entertain and astonish visitors or learn more about the geology and natural history of these unique and magnificent mountains during the “Dolomites UNESCO” event. Enjoy a pleasant concert or check out our second Oktoberfest at the end of the summer season on October 1. It’s a can’t miss event!
